After 46 years in Boonton, Mark Wrobel is asking his neighbors for something he has never asked for before: their vote.

Mark is running for Town Council because the town that raised him deserves a government that is transparent, accountable, and careful with every dollar it spends. He has spent his life here. He went through Boonton Public Schools. He started a landscaping business here as a teenager. He and his wife Ketal, who works in town, have raised their family here since 2003. Their older son graduated from Boonton High School, their younger son from Morris Catholic.

Boonton is not an abstraction to Mark. It is home.

Priorities for Boonton

Support local businesses and pedestrian safety.

Mark will partner with Boonton Main Street, local business owners, and community stakeholders to strengthen the downtown business district and make our streets safer for people on foot.

Advocate for renters and neighborhood quality.

Every resident deserves a safe, clean, well-maintained home. Mark will work to hold landlords accountable to local ordinances, protecting tenants and the neighborhoods they live in.

Improve oversight of construction projects.

Development should not mean months of disruption with no answers. Mark will push to make sure projects are properly monitored, finished on time, and managed with residents in mind. He supports creating a Town Council committee that gives the community a real voice on construction activity, zoning, and code enforcement.

Why Mark

Mark has served on Boonton's Planning Board and Board of Adjustment since 2018, where he has reviewed the applications and projects that shape how our town grows. He has seen firsthand what works, what does not, and where residents get left out of the conversation.

He brings nearly 30 years of experience in corporate and commercial real estate finance and business management. He has helped businesses of every size manage financing and pursue growth, and helped many customers purchase and build commercial real estate. He has run his own small business in Boonton since 2021. Balancing budgets, solving complicated problems, and making fiscally responsible calls is what he has done for a living. Boonton taxpayers deserve that same discipline at the council table.

Mark also knows this town from the sidelines and the bleachers. He grew up in local sports programs and gave that time back as a coach: Tri-Town Little League, recreational basketball, and MLBTB Soccer Club, plus managing teams in the Parsippany Soccer Club and travel basketball organizations. Coaching teaches you to listen, to lead, and to get a group of people pulling in the same direction.

A lifetime Republican and longtime Ward 1 resident, Mark is a proven fiscal conservative who believes government should be efficient, accountable, and responsive to the people who pay for it. He intends to be reachable, to hear residents out, and to work toward practical solutions that serve the whole community.

Mark is ready to work with the Mayor, his fellow Council members, residents, and community organizations to make Boonton an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
